Digital animation + physical print

Iconic is proud to present Whip Out the Paints and Get To It by Rebecca Rose—a groundbreaking video work created in collaboration with the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Norman Rockwell Family. Drawing from Rockwell’s iconic imagery, Rose reimagines his legacy through a contemporary digital lens.
This limited edition video collage marks Rebecca's first-ever print release and includes a hand-signed, numbered print of a personally selected frame from the animation—making each print as unique as the perspective it captures.

This exclusive release, created in partnership with the Norman Rockwell Museum and the Norman Rockwell Family, is limited to 50 digital editions and 50 unique, hand-signed and hand-numbered prints. Each collector will have the opportunity to select a frame from the animation to be featured in their print, creating a deeply personal and one-of-a-kind artwork.

Created at Norman Rockwell's studio in Stockbridge, MA at the Norman Rockwell Museum, using original photography taken on site by Rebecca plus archived original photographs taken by Norman Rockwell himself, sourced by the Norman Rockwell archives. Images were hand cut and edited in to create transparent png layers, and collaged as a 3d sculpture with camera positions and speed assignments to take the viewer through the digital build. This digital animation spans Norman Rockwell's life and process, pictured are original photographs of models used in Rockwell's paintings as well as the artist himself.
